The late Stephen Dodgson (1924-2013) was a unique compositional voice in Britain's musical landscape who created a prolific output of work across a variety of genres. This collection marks a longstanding collaborative engagement between duo and composer, including Dodgson's first work for guitar duo (of which Eden-Stell gave the premiere UK performance), and highlighted by the 1998 'Concertino for Two Guitars and Strings' ? commissioned by Eden Stell. Tom Kersten's celebrates the music of the iconic Spanish composer Enrique Granados. This collection of works (transcribed by Kerstens) draws on some of the composers most loved works, including the Valses Politicos, Cuentos de la Juventud and Danzas Españolas. Kerstens performs the pieces using a copy of a period 1888 Torres guitar, adding a unique character to the sound that relates these arrangements more characteristically to the time in which they were created.
